The Joker's Return is a set of levels that appears after the player has beaten any level in the Batcave. It is located inside the Arkham Asylum and its base is the Joker's Helicopter. There are five levels in it which the player must play to put the five villains into prison.


The Joker, Mad Hatter, Harley Quinn, Scarecrow and The Killer Moth have all escaped from Arkham Asylum and they are trying to cover all of Gotham City with the Joker's laughing gas. If they succeed, the Joker and Harley Quinn will rule all of Gotham City and Batman will not let that happen.

In Nintendo DS The Joker,Harley Quinn,The Scarecrow,and Mad Hatter decide to blow up Gotham Cathedral with a Joker Bomb to fill Gotham City with deadly laughing gas but Batman and Robin won't let it happen.


Joker's Home Turf

This is the very first level, in it the Mad Hatter will be controlling the Joker's main base and he will take the laughing gas to the Joker.

Little Fun at the Big Top

The second level of the game, Harley Quinn goes to the circus to get some supplies and Batman and Robin have to try to stop her

Flight of the Bat

In this level, the third of them all, The Scarecrow is flying through Gotham City in his biplane and he wants to get a very large object. The Batwing and Robin's Helicopter are introduced here.

In the Dark Night

This level takes place in an abandoned alley near the back of town. The Batman and Robin chase the Killer Moth through the streets into a warehouse where the Killer Moth provides some light on their situation.

To the Top of the Tower

The Joker and Harley Quinn work together to create a giant bomb full of laughing gas which they plan to set off when Batman and Robin burst in. The two clowns must stop the bat and his bird before the bomb blows.

  • The Joker and Harley Quinn are the only two villains to battle together in the game yet not in any of the batman movies though they do appear together often in the cartoons.
  • In Nintendo DS its called The Joker's Last Laugh and not The Joker's Return.Also Killer Moth isn't with The Joker in there.
